Finding Foldyard Cottage

Directions
From the South or North, Join the A64 from the A1 towards York. Turn off on the A1079 (towards Hull). The slip-road from the A64 leads you up to a big roundabout (Grimston Bar). From this, drive 5 miles along the A1079 in the direction of Hull.
Turn left into the village of Wilberfoss. Follow the road for 300m or so into Wilberfoss and take the first proper turn to the left (i.e. not into a housing estate). The turning is signed Fangfoss, and it’s just before the village shop. Drive along this road for 3 miles. You will arrive at a staggered cross-roads in Fangfoss by the Carpenter’s Arms pub.
Go straight across and continue for 150m to the village green, where the road forks. Take the left fork, and follow the narrow road round to the left and slightly downhill – it becomes a lane.
Foldyard Cottage is now the fourth house on the left, some 75m from the village green (there is a sign). Turn left up the tarmacked drive and park on the gravel.
